Supporting Abington Students as they Celebrate their 25th Reunion!

Educate. Empower. Excel.

For the past 25 years, the Abington Educational Foundation (AEF) has been providing funding to enhance educational opportunities for Abington School District students. Since 1992, AEF has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars to support programs that have a direct impact on our students.

25 Years of Support for Abington & Rockledge Students

In 2002, AEF established the Silver Pen Award, which recognizes sixth-grade students submitting winning essays in a district-wide competition. AEF continues to fund this competition annually. In 2003 and 2004, AEF provided funds to support the Stephen A. Schwarzman Stadium. Later in 2007, AEF raised $100,000 to fund electronic digital smartboards for elementary school classrooms.

More recent contributions include $65,000+ for Chromebook laptops for students to use in the classroom, and $12,000 annually for learning grants, which support initiatives such as robotics programs, afterschool STEAM clubs, technology purchases, reading and writing enhancement, and language and arts programs.

In 2016, with the support of a generous donor, AEF provided funding for the Abington Senior High School to purchase a 3D Printer to enhance their anatomy curriculum. AEF has been proudly supporting the Abington Buddies Club at the Senior High for several years, and in 2017 made this amazing program a signature AEF initiative, ensuring funding for years to come. The Buddies Club fosters development of one-on-one and community relationships between disabled and non-disabled students through monthly meetings and authentic experiences.
